Recovery

Well, I was able to recover approximately 38 entries from my d-x using the Wayback Machine. That's probably about a third of what I had written and saved there. However, beggars can't be choosers. I am lucky to get anything back. I thought I had downloaded my diary to my home computer, but I couldn't find it, so it must have gotten lost when my hard drive crashed in July 2004.

I was glad to find some of the entries, like the 100 Things About Me, and my Bio entry. I'll have to go through my stuff here at home and see what I can find. Some of the later entries from 2005 I still have saved on my laptop.

I wonder if there is a way to download Blogger entries. I would really be annoyed to lose all of these entries. Aha! A search of the Blogger help page leads me to this entry. Downloading from Blogger is possible; it's just a little bit more involved. (And of course I screwed it up. If you see any mistakes, I will have to fix them later. Make sure when copying a template that Notepad can handle the whole file. Sigh.)

I am looking at losing my d-x in a positive way. It gives me the chance to start over again. I just don't know where I'll be doing that yet. :)

Watch this space for updates!
